A poll funded by the city of Beverly Hills revealed 70 percent of likely voters support a proposed ballot initiative that could make most of the city's parking garages free for two hours, according to a press release. The news was heralded by those leading the charge for Measure 2P being placed on the March 8th ballot, including businesswoman Marcia Caden and G&L Realty, which owns five medical office buildings along the Golden Triangle. Beverly Hills sued to keep 2P from the ballot—a judge sided with the city before an appeals court granted an emergency stay of that decision on January 6, throwing the whole thing into limbo.
