Blogger Brigham Yen points out how this sign for a three-story office building brings to mind the dead-in-the-water Jean Nouvel-designed tower once proposed for 10000 Santa Monica Blvd in Century City. This leafy relative planned for Fair Oaks Avenue (and near the Gold Line tracks) is the work of Peter Tolkin Architecture. The medical building will adorned with “living vines of various kinds," and act "as a shading device, depending on which side the sun strikes the building throughout the year,” a senior associate at Tolkin told Yen.
