The Beverly Hills Unified School District really doesn't want the subway going under Beverly Hills High School, and the board of education voted unanimously yesterday to retain the national law firm Alston + Bird in their efforts to divert the subway onto Santa Monica Blvd., reports the Beverly Hills Courier. The school district thinks the subway could pose dangers to students; Metro wants the BHHS route because it could allow a more central station in Century City and says the Santa Monica Blvd. route is not a good idea because it runs along an earthquake fault.
