Cheesy Los Angeles Mansion Culture Shocks TV Brits

New, 4 comments

The new Showtime show "Episodes" plunks a couple of British television writers down in Los Angeles to adapt their BAFTA-winning BBC hit for a philistine American network (their rotund and aging comic lead is replaced by Matt LeBlanc). For their stay in LA, they're given an over-the-top McMansion that baffles them as modest, fog-loving Englishpeople--the marble columns are made of styrofoam, the doors talk, and the bathtub is so big that they don't even feel like having sex anymore by the time it's filled up. And of course Renee Zellweger lives down the street. A video of the house's greatest hits is after the jump, but beware of adultish situations and language.
