Bit Off the Top for Lautner's Rawlins Home on Balboa Island

In June, this John Lautner-designed 2,100-square foot home on Newport Beach's Balboa Island hit the market for $5.495 million. Designed in the late 1970s, the three-bedroom, two and half bath home, is the latest architecturally significant home to see a chop--it's dropped a hair to $5.195 million. Speaking of architecturally significant home, that Schindler How House in Silver Lake is finally in contract, according to the Twitter stream of RealArch.
