Coachella Valley Was Cooler Than Los Angeles Yesterday

New, 15 comments

Yep, it was hotter here yesterday than it was in the desert (their thermometers probably didn't even break). Clearly the only rational thing to do right now is move to Palm Desert, perhaps into this 1958 house designed by architect and industrial designer Walter S. White. It has two bedroom, one and three quarter bathrooms, glass walls, and most importantly, a pool. And it's all authentic, according to the listing: "Provenance is established by original photographs and 15 original drawings of this home archived in the Architecture and Design Collection of UC Santa Barbara." Asking price is $535,500, or you could just stop hydrating for a couple hours and hallucinate a spread like this on Bunker Hill.
