Slight Chop for Julius Shulman's Hollywood Hills Soriano

New, 15 comments

After nine months on the MLS, photographer Julius Shulman's Raphael Soriano house still hasn't sold. The Shulman is a mid-century Modern beauty designed for one of the most significant documentarians of mid-century Modern architecture, and it's more than 3,000 square feet, but that hasen't helped it to catch that special buyer's eye in this pedigree-property-flooded market. The house is a historic-cultural monument and Soriano's "only unaltered steel frame house," according to the listing, and it's loaded up with built-ins including pedestal beds, cabinets, and bench seating. In December 2009 the house was asking $2.495 million. It's been chopped to $2.355 million. More photos here.
