New Garden at Former Site of Pasadena's Hammond House

New, 7 comments

It's been a year since both the Greene and Greene-designed Herkimer Arms apartment building (chopped in half) and a handsome Victorian home called the Hammond House were lifted up out of the campus of the Fuller Seminary in downtown Pasadena and moved--the plan was for the properties to be placed at the site of a proposed housing development in northwest Pasadena. Ever since the Victorian--once used for student housing--was trucked off, an unsightly empty lot greeted pedestrians and drivers along Los Robles, but the blog of realtor Brigham Yen reports the unsightliness is gone. A new landscaped garden has taken place of the Hammond House site and it looks quite purdy.
