The Guardian talks to a former crack addict who made a living "nicking" bikes in London--this reformed fellow offers tips to avoid having your wheels stolen. Besides using two chains, beware of bike thief trick #1. "Someone, if they find their tire punctured they should take their bike with them, right at that minute because someone has done it on purpose to come and take it after."
