KB Home's Ascent at Warner Center Rises From the Literal Ashes

Two years after a nasty fire burnt nearly a quarter, KB Home's Ascent at Warner Center has emerged, rebuilt and ready for visitors.

VIPs checked out the condos last week, and KB Home will hold an open sneak peak tomorrow from 11 am to 7 pm. The project has 191 one and two story units, with one to three bedrooms and one to two and a half bathrooms. There's also a fitness center, clubhouse, indoor and outdoor lounges, a concierge, a dog park, and a pool and spa with WiFi-enabled cabanas, for the high-powered lounger. A rep for KB Home tells us the group brought in a forensic architect after the welding-related 2008 fire, and ended up demolishing and completely rebuilding 41 units (the rest were stripped and cleaned). Price range from the $220,000s to the mid $400,000s. Sales are already underway, according to the rep (marketing began in the spring), and move-ins are expected to start in late October. Ascent will get an official grand opening in mid to late September.
