Holy guacamole, the dorms at University Gateway are expensive. The Downtown News reports that the recently-opened $200 million student housing project on Figueroa St. is offering a single bed--in a two-bedroom apartment that houses four people--for $899, while a one-bedroom (single occupancy) is going for about $3,000 a month. And while the places come furnished (and with a TV), the paper finds that a "two-bedroom apartment near USC could be had for as little as $1,150 a month..." [Downtown News]
