Party Sans Cars Downtown, Hollywood Emerson Project is a Go

New, 11 comments

DOWNTOWN: Get thee to the Metro post-haste. DeLaB, GOOD, railLA, the Los Angeles County Bicycle Coalition, and the Coalition for Clean Air (whew, lotta crazy caps in there) are throwing a free party tonight at the exhibition LA Beyond Cars: A Global Perspective on Rail and Space in the City National Plaza. They're asking everyone to use non-car transportation to get there, but don't sweat it, we hear there'll be bike valets. [Curbed Inbox]

HOLLYWOOD: City Councilmember Eric Garcetti tweeted today: "Congrats to Hwd community on passage of Emerson College project for Sunset Blvd. Thx to residents, businesses, activists and all at council." So it sounds like the 10 story Morphosis project for entertainment-minded students is officially a go, which is right on schedule with original plans. [Twitter]
