Responding to complaints from business groups and area restaurants, the city council is considering setting limits on LA's ubiquitous food trucks, reports The Daily News. "These trucks... don't contribute to the city's tax base; they don't pay rent; they don't pay business improvement district assessments," said Nicole Shahenian of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce. Ideas include developing a permit process, as well as "'food truck zones' where two or three food trucks would be allowed to congregate." [Daily News]
