City Councilman Ed Reyes today submitted a motion to look into the possibility of one day boating on the river. According to the press release, the motion asks the city to look into a "a pilot non-motorized boating program for the 32-mile stretch of the L.A. River that lies within the City’s boundaries, County of Los Angeles, and river and wildlife advocacy groups." Currently boating is prohibited in the "concrete-entombed Los Angeles River," according to the release. [Curbed InBox]
