We've been chronicling the way that an apartment complex--in this case, 801 N. Fairfax Avenue, developed by local group Frost Chaddock-- has done a pretty stand-up job of transforming a formerly ho-hum stretch of Fairfax Ave. Now sister Eater picks up on the Weekly's news concerning Lindy & Grundy's, a butcher shop set to open by Thanksgiving. Run by couple Amelia Posada and Erika Nakamura, the store will sell locally sourced meats, homemade sausage and more. This follows the arrival of a gastropub and coffee shop in the retail space. Not sure the word gentrification applies here, but you go, 801 Fairfax.
