With the closing of Mordigan Nurseries, the longtime nursery that's being shuttered for A. F. Gilmore Co's retail center, staffers are remembering the good times, reports the Times. Well, and then there's that 1985 methane explosion across the street. "The Ross explosion blew mannequins from the store out. Our employees thought they were people who had been blown up and they all ran over to help," she recalled. "It blew out our greenhouse windows. It was something else." [LAT]
