Oxnard, looking to up its sex appeal, is considering a name change, reports the LA Times: "an image consultant hired by the city has addressed the awkward-sounding moniker head on, suggesting the more sun-splashed, salt-soaked and tourist-friendly 'Oxnard Shores.'"
