Historic Home With a Pool in Echo Park

New, 13 comments

Welcome to this version of "New To Market," our look at a listing with a reader vote. Consider this an unscientific way to take the buying pulse of a wary public. Feedback and nominees to the tipline, please.

We were at least half expecting to see a cute flip team name on this listing, but nope, the house has been off the market since 2003. The two bedroom, one bathroom didn't start life here on Baxter Street in Echo Park--it was built in 1910 but moved here in 1952. The listing loses points for the "e" on "Old World Charme," but gains five for including a picture of the move in progress. The house made it onto a Historical Society home tour and the listing says it "combines original architectural elements with a modern design sense." The house also has a formal dining room, a porch with canyon views, and a pool with cabana. In 2003 it went for $515,000, now it's asking $649,000. Here's the listing.
