The San Fernando Valley Business Journal reports that a proposed statewide ban on plastic grocery bags "seems increasingly likely" of passing given that the California Grocers Association supports the bill, which has been changed. Originally, the bill banned plastic bags and single-use paper bags. Now reusable bags will be made available, and stores can sell single-use bags. [SFVBJ]
