Geologists are all het up over a bill in the California legislature that would drop serpentine as our state rock because some of the rocks "serve as a host for chrysotile, a form of asbestos," reports the New York Times. Over on Twitter, where #CAserpentine is blowing up, one geologist has a good suggestion: "California should make it's official state rock unobtanium." [NYT, image via]
