There has been a height concern about that Sherman Oaks Ralphs, or here is how the Ralphs blog dryly sums up the situation, noting "there's been a consistent vuvuzela-like buzz from a vocal minority who are concerned about the proposed Ralphs Fresh Fare’s height." As previously covered, the Sherman Oaks Homeowners Association wants the new store (which will replace an existing Ralphs) to max out at 30 feet as dictated by the specific plan, rather than the proposed 48 feet (the current store is now 46 feet high). And now comes word that the grocery store is indeed scaling back the project, lowering sections and setting the store back from Ventura Blvd, plans that will be presented at a July 19th hearing.
