Well, the vinyl windows on this century-old former hunting lodge in Laurel Canyon are sure to elicit some tut-tutting, and the turquoise kitchen cabinets are rather jarring, but the property does seem to have decent potential, along with some lovely old trees. According to its listing, the three-bedroom home has a "separate 1 BD, 1 BA in-law apartment with its own entrance," and "large lot ideal for future expansion or development." Let's hope that doesn't require cutting down those trees. Asking price for the former lodge, which last changed hands in 1969, is $695,000, or $368 per square foot.--Pauline O'Connor
