The New York Times interviews Paige Rense Noland as she prepares to retire after 35 years as editor of Architectural Digest, a job she got when the last guy was murdered. She has a lot to say on how consumption and design have changed, and a little on an LA archi-hero: "Now, Diane [Keaton] is extraordinary. She could be a decorator.
