Swimming on Santa Monica Blvd, Pershing Square Movies

New, 9 comments

WEST HOLLYWOOD: West Hollywood likes to pretty itself by adding artwork along Santa Monica Boulevard--and this is the latest. Called Route—66 Lights, the display features vintage and contemporary neon signs on historic Route 66 (Santa Monica Boulevard). Three neon art lights are located in the center median of Santa Monica Boulevard (including the one above) and one is located at Plummer Park. The art project launched last month. [Curbed Staff]

DOWNTOWN: Romance in Pershing Square, who would have thought? The Parks Dept is kicking off its 2010 season of Friday Night Flicks at Pershing Square. Their web site has a full list of movies that will be shown. And they remind you: Leave the grill at home. But picnic baskets are allowed. [Curbed InBox]
