KPCC recently got some new digs in Pasadena, and now crosstown NPR rival KCRW is keeping up with the Larry Mantles. It'll be getting a new 33,000 square foot building on the Santa Monica College campus, finally moving out of the SMC basement they've been using for the last 30 years. The project by West Hollywood-based Clive Wilkinson Architects, who won the commission in 2008 with an ivy-shrouded concept, also includes a renovation and addition to SMC's Academy of Entertainment Technology building, a 430 space parking structure that'll serve the radio station and SMC*, and a courtyard. We've never actually seen renderings for the project, so take them in. The media campus is expected to be finished in 2013.
