Rolling Hills Estates' Chandler Ranch: Less Ranchy, Actually

New, 9 comments

Throw horses in the development mix and everything gets more heated (just ask Burbank, where a Whole Foods did battle with the horse contingent), and now the 114-home Chandler Ranch subdivision project is back in the news following the release of a revised environmental review, reports the Daily Breeze. The $350 million project would replace a landfill owned by Chandler's Palos Verdes Sand and Gravel Co., and include an 18-hole golf course and clubhouse for Rolling Hills Country Club. But the designation of the development would mean that the residents couldn't keep horses--there would be no horse overlay, according to the developer. According to the Breeze, public hearings will begin in the fall.
