Today, Malibu announced the start of the $1 million Paradise Clean Ocean Project, which during rainstorms will be able to capture, clean, and disinfect up to 1 million gallons of stormwater and urban runoff per day before it reaches the ocean--the city is spending a total of $50 million on clean water projects. (In a press release, the city reminds journalists that Paradise Cove is where Gidget once frolicked.) [City of Malibu/CBS2]
