Even though Eli Broad hasn't officially announced a site, the contractor that Broad picked to build his new museum proposed for downtown has filed for building permits--for "preliminary soil and geological reviews"--on the site, according to the Downtown News. "Broad spokeswoman Karen Denne stressed that the permit application is a preliminary measure, and that the museum still needs a series of public approvals before it can go forward." [Downtown News]
