Roland Coate-Designed Colonial in San Marino

New, 9 comments

This 1926 Colonial designed by Roland E. Coate strikes us as the sort of place Caddyshack's Judge Smails would call home. According to the property website, the San Marino residence features a four-bedroom, five bath main house with formal 25-person dining room, commercial grade elevator, and two-car garage complete with vintage vehicle turnstile system. The property also has a pool, spa, gym, koi pond, and separate guest house. Oh, and let's not forget the "four-hole putting green with two custom chipping plateaus." It was last on the market in December 2007, when it sold for $5.78 million. Less than 3 years later, the current owners have optimistically priced it at $8.68 million.--Pauline O'Connor
