Updated But Original-Looking Cliff May in Long Beach's Rancho Estates

New, 28 comments

We first met this specimen of a Rancho Estates Cliff May-ness in March 2009, when it was renting at $2,495. The listing for the three bedroom, two bathroom says "The current owners have thoughtfully updated the home without sacrificing the original details and finishes. The signature window walls and doors are all intact, as is the richly patinated Birch paneling. Original cabinetry was salvaged wherever possible, reconfigured and topped with butcher block counter tops to create a versatile island kitchen workspace." You can check out some dire-looking before photos on Redfin. The current owners paid $590,000 in 2007 and are now asking $599,000 after all that hard work. It's one of the lowest-priced Rancho Estates Cliff Mays we've seen.
