A press release from City Councilwoman Janice Hahn's office announces Reggie the alligator--the famous gator plucked from Lake Machado--is now sharing his habitat with Cajun Kate, an older female gator who'd lived with another alligator, Methuselah, at the zoo. Methuselah, estimated to be 70, passed away in March. No word yet if Reggie and Kate will be procreating. Back in 2008, his handler told us the gator has a typical male temperament: Reggie is motivated by food and sunshine, but not sex. [Curbed InBox]
