Via New York magazine (yeah, it's strange) we find this short film that imagines LA without vehicular traffic and with an alternative soundtrack. Local Ross Ching discovered the Empty LA photographs and used time lapse photography to make this movie, taking several different pics of the same spot. He writes on his web site: "So if you layer 10 or so images over each other in Photoshop, you can edit out all the parts where the cars aren’t. It also helps to take the shot when traffic is really light." After that, Ching layered the freeway over where the cars were, and presto! you have a cubicle time-killer. The Source also picked up the video, touted as “being car free” and asks the pertinent question of "What happened to all the buses?"
