When the Pugh + Scarpa-designed Cherokee Lofts at 751 N. Fairfax opened its doors to the public last year, developers REthink opted for a music-themed look, and designed a handful of units as tributes to musicians like David Bowie, Alice Cooper, and 30 Seconds to Mars. The building was formerly occupied by the Cherokee Recording Studios, but perhaps the idea of living in an Alice Copper-themed reality turned off some buyers. At this point, no units have sold. And Deasy and Penner now has listing, having taken it from another firm, and prices have dropped at least $100,000 on units.
