It's a mixed bag in terms of construction news: "Total housing starts in California dipped 6 percent in April compared to a year earlier, according to figures provided Monday by the home construction industry’s lobbying arm in Sacramento," while the "the sluggish state of construction means the "state's economic recovery will lag behind the rest of the nation, said Esmael Adibi, an economist at Chapman University in Orange," according to the LAT.
