Perhaps by the time this one is cleaned up and finished, we'll be in the middle of the next housing boom. The Garment and Citizen believes that still unfinished Hewitt First building was set to be auctioned off today on the death steps of the Los Angeles County Superior Court in Pomona, likely sent back to lender Chinatrust Bank. A 33-unit project on Hewitt and 2nd in the Art District, the building stopped construction just a few months after the developer stated the project would likely be going rental. Additionally, there were numerous delays over the years.
