Looks like the Drai's Hollywood club at the W Hollywood Hotel is being careful to avoid the guest pissing off hubris that's felled clubs as mighty as the Roosevelt Hotel's Tropicana. A tipster pointed us to an April item on HotelChatter that included Twitter complaints from a travel writer who stayed at the W Hollywood but was barred from the pool during resident club Drai's Sunday pool party. HC reported at the time that the party was held from 10 am to 10 pm, and a rep told them that "the hotel is working closely with its partners to find a solution that works for everyone." Looks like they have: a rep for Drai's tells Curbed that party hours are now 2 pm to 8 pm and hotel guests now have priority entrance with their room keys. The cover is $20 for anyone not on the guest list or without a table reservation, but non-hotel guests also have to get by the doorman. A receptionist at the W advises hotel guests get there at 1 pm, before the party starts, to secure a spot (it can get crowded). Aw, doesn't the thought of tourists and The Hills stars mingling together poolside just warm your heart? [Pool party via Drai's Hollywood Blog]
