All thanks to the Voters

Mayor Villaraigosa is back in Washington, DC today, appearing before the House Ways and Means Committee to try and lobby funds for transportation in LA. It's his fourth trip there, according to KPCC. Let's hope he's racking up Marriott points. "The congressional panel was interested in how L.A. County sold its transportation sales tax to voters. The mayor said a combination of factors helped convince voters – identifying specific projects, promising fiscal oversight, and voters’ firsthand experience with L.A.’s terrible traffic." [KPCC]
