Fencing is being shed at LACMA's new Lynda and Stewart Resnick Exhibition Pavilion, so Culture Monster checks out artist Robert Irwin's plant work around the building: "Ancient tropical ornamentals, the plantings evoke an antediluvian past, in keeping with the prehistoric sludge of the surrounding La Brea tar pits.
