Companies like Zipcar are based on car-sharing, and now a California politician is looking at more ways of making it easier for riders to share. Via the SF Chronicle: "A bill crafted by Assemblyman Dave Jones, D-Sacramento, would amend state car insurance laws to allow personal vehicles to be used in car-sharing programs. Currently, auto insurers prohibit individual policyholders from renting out their personal vehicles." [Chronicle]
