Having purchased 705 W. 9th Street from developer Meruelo Maddux last week, new owners Watermarke has already started leasing the downtown tower. They've slapped their company's name on the building--meet the Watermarke! But at least now there's a link to the building's original watery design. And the tower is offering immediate-move-ins, reports Blogdowntown. A Craiglist ad is advertising a 880-square foot 1 bedroom loft for $2,286 (a temporary special). In terms of downtown luxury rentals, here's some comparison: A 800-square foot one-bedroom at 717 Hanover is asking $2,520 and there's at least two rentals available in Concerto, a condo building, with the one-bedroom going for $2000.
