Shot of The Century, last spring
This past Tuesday night, architect Robert A.M Stern held a party at his Century project in Century City for his line of interior furnishings. With parties underway at the 42-story tower, you can assume the building is nearing completion, and indeed, closings are expected to start early this summer, according to the sales office. As far as prices, Related Cos is sticking to its original pricing, believing there's still a segment of the population--aka the empty nesters and the Wilshire Corridor set--willing to pay $3.3 million (starting prices) and up for the units. Meanwhile, Real Estalker had some chatter this week that perhaps Candy Spelling, who famously purchased that $47 million penthouse, had backed out of the purchase. Not true! Spelling's publicist tells us. Candy's still on board.
