Blogdowntown reminds us to eat some layer cake today on the sixty-sixth anniversary of the unveiling of the designs for the Four Level Interchange. The 101/110 connection was the first stack interchange ever built, and even better it gave the LA Times occasion to use the phrase "fanciest whip-de-do of bridges, curving ramps and sweeping underpasses that you ever saw."
