Killefer-designed Apartments Opening Soon in Santa Monica

New, 6 comments

Santa Monica's verdant 6th Street is getting 50 more units of rentals, NMS Properties informs us. With a name like LuXe@1548 (the reason for the capped X alludes us), amenities like stainless steel appliances, and downtown Santa Monica at your doorstep, expect rents to be on the higher end of the scale (the rental agent isn't giving out prices just yet). There are five stories, with underground parking and a 900-foot yet-to-be-decided retail component. Designed by Killefer Flammang Architects, the firm behind that a hotel redux on Wilshire and a new affordable housing project on Main Street, the 50 units are split between one-bedrooms, between 515 and 722 square feet, and two-bedrooms between 800 and 935 square feet. The project, reminiscent of the nearby Roma Building, is now about 75% complete, and pre-leasing starts in July.
