Good magazine checks in on urban theorist Richard Florida, who just released The Great Reset, a book on how the recession is changing the paradigm of everything. Florida talks neighborhoods with LA writer Andrew Price; nothing life-shattering there (pretty neighborhoods make good neighborhoods, diversity is good) but he hints at the perils of gentrification with a quote that another urban thinker, Jane Jacobs, gave him: “You know, Richard, when a place gets boring even the rich people leave.” [Good]
