Remodeled Lloyd Wright in Trousdale Estates

New, 20 comments

This very recently renovated Lloyd Wright up in Trousdale Estates is yours for $12,500 a month. Trousdale Estates expert and Curbed commenter Steven Price (now with a Facebook page) provides these photos and some context, writing that this home, as well as another Lloyd Wright-designed home in the area, are the "best-kept architectural secrets" in the neighborhood. "This one, hidden up a private drive on upper Wallace Ridge, was built in 1958 for Jack and Gloria Levand. While not entirely 'true' to the home's original natural palette...the architecture, cabinetry, and even Wright Jr.'s quirky way with over head lighting fixtures, still shines through." A four- bedroom, three and a half bathroom house, the listing notes that the "living room with soaring ceilings opens to dining area with a great flow for entertaining," and mentions the "walls of glass."
