Legoland-Looking Affordable Housing Coming to Inglewood

New, 13 comments

Following in the footsteps of low-income developments like Maltzan's Carver and Rainbow apartments in downtown, community development organization PATH Ventures is holding a groundbreaking ceremony on Friday for a 20-unit project in Inglewood (near Hollywood Park). Called PATH Villas Osage Apartments--the three-story development includes eight one-bedroom apartments, six two-bedrooms, six three-bedrooms, and subterranean parking--and is part of PATH's goal to develop 1,000 units of affordable housing by 2012; the Inglewood apartments bring their total to 406. "Two units will be leased at 30 percent of area median income, six units at 40 percent AMI, six units at 50 percent AMI, and six units at 60 percent AMI," according to a press release. Construction should wrap-up in March 2011. Oh, and the colorful project is designed by Jeffrey M. Kalban & Associates.
