The Daily Breeze reports that San Pedro is looking to replace its plastic bus benches with "decorative cast-iron benches," all part of a program to make downtown San Pedro a better-looking place. The new benches are being ordered in "Spring Street Green," a color intended to match the area's vintage street lights. "They're very unsightly," said advisory committee member Sue Castillo [of the benches]. "I see them as a blight on our community." [Daily Breeze]
