The Michigan office of Minoru Yamasaki's firm (the late architect was behind the Century Plaza) closed in January, but a heroic state archivist assembled a crack team of preservationists and archivists to preserve the office's documents. Among the finds: "Presentation drawings, original drawings and materials related to Century Plaza," and other "original plans and renderings, handwritten notes, photographs, slides, and books."
