Is the Subway-Adjacent W Transit-Friendly?

New, 23 comments

Not really, according to Streetsblog. Though it has a station right under it and was built through a partnership with Metro, the new hotel and condo development in Hollywood is an ode to car culture, says the site, pointing out the hotel/condo project has oodles of parking, a scarcity of transit information on its website, and no bike racks. One Streetsblog commenter responds: "Bike racks? Why would a hotel need to install bike racks? How many people bike to a luxury hotel? Lack of bike racks is Metro's fail, not W's. The City has also failed, with its ridiculous minimum-parking policy." [Streetsblog]
