San Diego's contract with Comic-Con is up in 2012, and the LA Times checks out the three-way cage match between that city, Anaheim, and LA for the very lucrative convention. LA's convention and visitors bureau has already submitted a bid they call "very, very competitive," but our rivals say affordable lodging (i.e. not the new Marriott or Ritz) is too far from the convention center.
